Hello (new) World – my name is Michael and after 15 years I’m back at writing about things I care about. I’m a cyclist, ice-cream-lover, commercially failed photographer and coffee snob.

This blog is an outlet for my obsession with the art of cycling and my addiction to spending too much money on cycling gear. It’s about shower thoughts — opinionated and in the dark corner of serious amateur-ing where we like to suffer and we stick to the rules and definitely take ourselves too seriously.

I want to give an outlet to the tons of useless information that I accumulate in my head – which might actually be helpful to someone out there.

This is an experiment. I do care about the openness of information and content continuing to happen outside of Facebook, TikTok and the Metaverse. I want to see how it feels to publish on The Web today and use some of the newer tools myself, since I work in this space.

Lastly here’s the disclaimer: I do have relationships with Outride, Specialized, Orucase and Rapha — they don’t care what I write here though (which is sad because they’re not trying to bribe me). Views are my own.
